Hello and Welcome!

My name is Alexandra Drew Simes

& I’m a 23 year old Ceramicist

Canadian born, Chicago based. 

I work out of my 290 sq ft pottery studio, known as Simes Ceramics.

For the past three years, I have been cultivating a space to explore, create, and most importantly unwind; I love inviting others to do the same. 

Although my work is simple in form, each piece is truly, handmade with soul. 

As I grow older and grow more into my practice as a potter. I realize it’s not always about a finished product, but learning to simply enjoy the process of creating.  I am always finding better ways to document my work that, hopefully, capture both my personality and ability to throw.

Most people know me from TikTok, as I use that platform to document and share my artist process. In this new year, I am stepping away from that side of social media and hope to elevate my content in new ways.
